I took a picture, and it was years later still when I was sorting cards and saw one again (I mean, who plays basic lands anymore?)
Players get to know the choices made by players who chose before them
You cant trade anything you get in the starter deck, and theyre all the same
You get to choose between a monstrous 5/5 for three mana, or a 4/4 with trample, haste, and (temporary) hexproof (or, you know, a 3/3 with haste twice, for you Rocket-Powered Turbo Slugs out there)
There are a few ways to shut this off, but often, the downside of giving your opponents' creatures haste is worth it to give your own creatures haste as your deck is more likely to be built around it
Usually these super mid until you cast something else cards end up disappointing, so my expectations arent that high
